Summary

The existing versions of the unit standards were not achievable in all workplaces.  The content of the unit standards was changed to remedy this.  The changes were supported by industry.

Main changes

· The Guidance Information and Performance criteria of unit standard 27490 were modified to clarify meaning.  Ranges now facilitate assessment in a wide range of establishments.

· The Guidance Information, Outcomes, Performance criteria of unit standard 30627 were modified to make the standards assessable in a wide range of work places.

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2020
