Summary

The development of the unit standard was prompted by MITO developing new unit standards to reflect the graduate profile outcomes in the New Zealand qualifications for the Motor Industry where existing unit standards were no longer fit for purpose.

The development process has resulted in fit-for-purpose assessment content, that reflects current industry practice, being made available to industry.

Feedback was gathered from stakeholders and used to inform development of the unit standard.  It was subsequently endorsed by the stakeholders involved.
