The NZ Marine and Composites Industry Training Organisation (NZMAC ITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above. The unit standards in bold were rolled over and revised only.

Summary
NZMAC ITO carried out a review to better align these unit standard to the graduate profile outcomes of the New Zealand qualifications relating to the marine and composites industry and also to reflect the new health and safety legislation. Industry and subject matter experts provided feedback and input into the review of these unit standards.
NZMAC ITO developed new unit standards for the New Zealand Certificate in Marine Coatings (Level 4) with strands in Exterior and Interior [Ref: 3085] to meet the graduate outcomes of this qualification. The review was carried out in consultation with sector representatives and industry technical experts.
Main changes
· Content of the unit standards and titles were updated to better reflect the standard outcomes.
· Guidance information was updated to reflect change in legislation.
· 21 unit standards were rolled over and revised to update legislation, references and the planned review date.
· Unit standards 26095, 26104, and 26105 were designated expiring without replacement as they are no longer fit for purpose.
· Unit standard 25999 was designated expiring and was replaced by new standard 31431.
· Three new unit standards were developed.
