Summary
Transpower, the organisation responsible for electricity transmission in New Zealand, indicated that updates were required to two recently registered unit standards. The changes will ensure that the unit standards will support the requirements for tower structure and pole maintainers in the inspection and maintenance of structures used in the transmission sector.
The review process included stakeholder collaboration by email. Industry stakeholders provided feedback to reflect the current requirements for condition coding systems and Transpower has endorsed these amendments.
