Summary of review and consultation process
As a result of the Targeted Review of Qualifications, MITO has now completed the process of reviewing the above qualification with industry members. The review encompassed key representatives from the 4WD sector who determined that the qualification no longer meets the current or future needs of industry. Industry supported that there is not currently, and has not been for some time, a demand for a qualification in this area.
The review resulted in a recommendation that the national qualification listed above should be designated expiring without replacement.

Transition
This qualification has been reviewed and will be designated expiring without replacement.
Learners currently enrolled in programmes leading to this qualification must complete the requirements by 31 December 2018, when the qualification will be designated as discontinued.
It is the intention of MITO that no existing learner should be disadvantaged by these transition arrangements. However, any candidate who considers they have been disadvantaged may appeal to MITO at the address below. Appeals will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
