Summary
The unit standards listed above were reviewed in consultation with key stakeholders to update guidance information and amend some terminology in line with current industry practice. As part of the review, all organisations with consent to assess against the standards being reviewed were invited to comment.
Main changes
· All titles were amended to align with current legislation, government policy and philosophical underpinnings of mental health and addiction support.
· Guidance information was updated.
· Terminology used in the standards, outcomes and performance criteria were amended to align with current practice within the mental health and addiction sector and philosophical underpinnings of mental health and addiction support.
· An additional outcome was added to unit 26986 to focus the knowledge component of this standard on current support provision within a historical context.
· In unit 26988, the three former outcomes were merged into two outcomes to clarify and remove overlap.
