The Skills Organisation has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
Summary
These unit standards were included in the National Certificate in Electronic Manufacturing (Level 3) [Ref: 0434] and the National Certificate in Electronic Manufacturing (Level 4) with strands in Manufacturing Technology, and Manufacturing Leadership [Ref:0435].
During the review that was completed in August 2016, the industry stakeholders recommended that the national qualifications be phased out, and the associated unit standards set to expire on December 2021. There has been no usage of these unit standards in the past 2 years.
The Skills Organisation will continue to offer electronics and electrical unit standards, leaving the manufacturing suite of standards with the relevant Standard Setting Bodies.
Main changes
These unit standards were set to expire without replacement.
These Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2021
