Summary of review and consultation process
The Motor Industry Training Organisation (MITO) transferred standard setting responsibility for Trailer Boat Systems to NZMAC ITO.
This has meant that NZMAC ITO have agreed with MITO to undertake the training of apprentices that were previously engaged with MITO Power Boat Engineering apprenticeship training.
Over the last 18 months, industry representatives identified the need to restructure the current qualification into two distinct qualifications to make the qualifications relevant to current needs and fit-for-purpose.
At this time the transferred unit standards have been reviewed by NZMAC ITO and industry, so there has been an adjustment to graduate profile outcome statements and credits to better reflect the learning, training, and assessment time taken to achieve the new graduate profile outcomes.
