Review of Motor Industry qualification
New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering (Level 4) [Ref: 3460]
MITO New Zealand Incorporated has reviewed the qualification listed above.
Date new version published June 2018
The next qualification review is planned to take place during June 2023.
Summary of review and consultation process
Feedback from industry identified problems with the current graduate profile outcomes of the qualification.
Some of the skills and knowledge described in outcomes of this qualification were not relevant and made it difficult to achieve all the qualification graduate profile outcomes at Level 4. The changes now ensure that there are no unnecessary restrictions on learner ability to complete the qualification and progress within the industry.
MITO commenced an early review of the Level 4 qualification with industry and provider stakeholders to review the qualification graduate outcomes and make these relevant to the automotive electrical industry.
