NZQA Māori Qualifications Services has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
The unit standards were reviewed to ensure they are fit for purpose, relevant and that their outcomes are achievable and consistent with assessment practices.
All amendments to the unit standards were endorsed by the Whakaruruhau.
Main changes
· Merit and Excellence grades added to standards: 7870, 7871, 7881, 29711.
· Standard 30061 transferred from the Raranga domain to new Taonga domain.
· Credit values for standards 7906 and 29531 increased from 3 credits to 4 credits to better reflect the time required for teaching, learning and assessment.
· Standard 7869 designated expiring and standard 7875 recommended as its alternative.
· A last date for assessment against the superseded versions of the Category B reviewed standards was specified. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of superseded versions of the unit standards.
· Standards were reformatted onto the new template.
The Category D unit standard will expire at the end of December 2018
