The Infrastructure ITO has completed the revision of unit standard 12295.

Summary

This unit was revised after moderation of the assessment resources showed that the standard had to be aligned with the issuer applied earthing as contained in Part 3 SM-EI (2015) Section 6.  Industry felt that earth applied requirements must be a condition of assessment and the unit standard was updated accordingly.  The Provider assessing against this unit has agreed with the changes.

Main changes

· PC 2.4, 4.2, 4.4, and 4.5 have had range statements included on issuer applied/recipient earthing.

· A last date for assessment of the most recently superseded version of the standard was specified as 31 December 2020.  This date has been confirmed with stakeholders.
