Summary
Primary ITO has reviewed a number of unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the outcomes listed in the new landscape qualifications. Primary ITO has also developed new unit standards to meet industry needs and reflect the outcomes listed in the new qualifications.
There are a number of organisations with consent to assess by level, others have consent to assess for individual unit standards. Organisations with consent to assess, and industry stakeholders had the opportunity to review the relevant unit standards and offer feedback. This consultation was carried out by email in November 2017. All feedback was actioned where appropriate.
Main changes
· 11 unit standards were revised to reflect current industry practices.
· 11 unit standards were replaced by nine new unit standards as significant changes were made that changed the outcome and necessitated the registration of a replacement unit standard with a new ID.
· Six unit standards were developed to meet the graduate outcomes of the new qualifications.
Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2019
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is 31 December 2019
