MITO New Zealand Incorporated (MITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
As a result of the Targeted Review of Qualifications process, it became necessary for MITO to review a number of unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the outcomes listed in the new qualifications and to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose. Alongside industry, MITO has reviewed six existing standards and created five new standards and one replacement standard.
MITO was supported by the industry’s working group during this review. Representation in the working group included subject matter experts from several New Zealand ports, industry and MITO representatives. The standards were also circulated in the working group’s greater networks and all feedback was actioned where appropriate.
Main changes
· Guidance Information was updated.
· References to legislation and formal requirements were updated.
· Performance criteria and range statements were amended.
· The titles of some standards were amended to better reflect the outcomes.
The last date for assessment of the Category C unit standard is 31 December 2020
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is 31 December 2020
