Summary
As a result of the review of the New Zealand Certificate in Agrichemical Application (Level 4) with strands in Aquatic, Broadacre, Tree and Vine Horticultural, Targeted Weed Control, and Total Vegetation Control [3984-1] Qualification process, Primary ITO has reviewed these unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the outcomes listed in the new qualification.
A consultation meeting was held in August 2019 where industry had the opportunity to give feedback. An online survey was also conducted for the same purpose. Feedback was addressed where appropriate.
Main changes
· 5 unit standards were reviewed to update guidance information.
· Unit standards were updated to align with the current template.
· Credit value and the level of unit standard 21544 were increased to align with the requirements of an Agrichemical Application programme currently being developed.
