Date new versions published November 2019
Planned review date December 2024
Summary
The review of these unit standards was prompted by development of a Programme of Industry Training leading to the New Zealand Certificate in Aquatic Treatment Systems (Level 4) [Ref: 3504].
Feedback from stakeholders was gathered through an open consultation process and used to guide the development of the industry training programmes for the qualification above, and the review and development of the associated unit standards.
A technical advisory group was convened to review and confirm the content of the unit standards.
Four of the reviewed unit standards were found to no longer be fit for purpose, relevant nor aligned with outcomes listed in the new qualification.
Five new unit standards were developed to meet industry needs for people treating aquatic systems.
Main changes
· Unit standards 5687, 5694, 25980 and 25982 were designated expiring without replacement as they no longer align with industry need.
