Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The review of the New Zealand Equine Breeding qualifications occurred in 2019. The review encompassed consultation with stakeholders from the thoroughbred and standardbred breeding sectors to ensure that the reviewed qualifications met their current and future needs. The recommendation of the External Working Group was that the Level 3 qualification remain at 80 credits with some amendments to Graduate Outcomes. The recommendation of the External Working Group was that the Level 4 qualification increased from 85 credits to 130 credits to focus more attention on horse health and welfare, personal communication, health and safety on the breeding stud to meet industry requirements in the future. |
