Summary
Industry feedback indicated that the language used within standard 30688 was unclear at times and did not align with industry concepts or expectations. This was leading to confusion and inconsistent interpretation during the assessment.
Standard 30688 was revised to clarify language and intent.
Main changes
· Performance criterion 1.1 was removed as it no longer aligns with current adult education practice within outdoor recreation.
· The language of outcome 1, and performance criteria 1.2, 3.2-3.5 and 4.1, was amended to better reflect industry language and expectations and ensure consistent interpretation during assessment.
· The range statements under performance criteria 3.2 and 4.1 were also amended to better align with industry language and practice.
