The Primary Industry Training Organisation has completed the extension of expiry date of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

The extension of expiry date was required to align with the expiry date of the:

• National Certificate in Animal Product Examination Services with strands in Sheep and Goats, Lambs, Cattle, Horses, Pigs, Bobby Calves, Deer, and Ostriches and Emus, and with optional strands in Other Species, and Pre-slaughter Examination Services [Ref: 0785]
• National Certificate in Horticulture (Level 4) with optional strands in Amenity Horticulture, Fruit Production, Landscape, Nursery Production, Postharvest, Viticulture, and Vegetable Production [Ref: 1014]; and
• National Certificate in Horticulture (Advanced) (Level 4) with strands in Amenity Horticulture, Fruit Production, Landscape, Nursery Production, Postharvest, Production Horticulture, Viticulture, and Vegetable Production [Ref: 1015].

Main changes

· The last date for assessment of these expiring unit standards was extended from 31 December 2019 to 31 December 2020.

· Unit standards were updated using the latest template and terminology.
