Summary of review and consultation process |
|
Consultation was carried out with the youth work and youth development sectors during 2017 and 2018 as part of the qualification review process. The result of consultation was that both qualifications are fit for purpose and meet the needs of trainee youth workers, Employers, PTEs and ITPs. The sector confirms that no substantial changes to the qualifications are required. |

Main changes resulting from the review |

• Condition statements have been removed. In place of the condition statements, a Guidance Document for Programme Developers will be available on Careerforce’s website. • Both qualifications have been updated into the latest NZQA template. • Strategic purpose statements have been revised. • Graduate profile outcome statements have been revised to ensure clarity. |
