Summary

 

MITO has reviewed the unit standards listed above and developed a new unit standard at the request of industry to align with the New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Wheel Alignment (Level 4) [Ref: 4057].

 

The above review has resulted in fit-for-purpose assessment content being made available to industry that reflects current legislation and industry practice.

 

MITO’s automotive wheel alignment industry working group endorsed the unit standard review.  Representation in the working group included subject matter experts, industry representatives and MITO representatives.  The unit standards were circulated in the working group’s association network and all feedback was actioned where appropriate.

 

Main changes

 

·         Unit standard 24026 was reviewed and the title, guidance information, outcomes, performance criteria and credits changed to ensure currency with industry knowledge and practice.

·         Unit standard 15482 was designated expiring and replaced with a new unit standard.

·         A new unit standard was developed.

 

The Category C unit standard will expire at the end of December 2021

 

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of the Category B unit standard is December 2021
