Summary

 

Skills and industry representatives developed two new unit standards to support unit standard based programmes for the:

·           New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Electromechanical Maintenance and Repair) (Level 4) with optional strand in Electrical Service Technician (EST) [Ref: 2565],

·           New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Installation and Service) (Level 4) with strands in Domestic Systems and Products, Commercial Equipment, and Consumer Electronics [Ref: 2768], and

·           New Zealand Certificate in Electronic Engineering (Level 4) [Ref: 2981].

 

The unit standards were developed with industry representatives to ensure they are fit for purpose, relevant to the Electrical Engineering industry, and readily available for assessment.  Industry representatives provided feedback from their networks.
