Trainees, graduates and employers were surveyed. These responses, achievement data, and an industry overview were considered at a meeting of industry representatives, and recommendations informed the qualification review. |

Main changes resulting from the review |
|
The qualification was reduced from 225 credits to 165 credits. An optional strand in working with live low voltage lines was added. New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply Introductory (Level 2) [Ref: 2136] was changed to an entry requirement instead of being embedded in the qualification. The education pathway and evidence requirements for assuring consistency were updated. Conditions relating to the qualification outcomes were removed. |
