Summary
This review was prompted by the publication of version 2 of the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering Practice (Level 6) with strands in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering [Ref: 1714].
Standards were reviewed to ensure alignment with version 2 of the qualification. Stakeholders were consulted during September 2019 and endorsed the changes.
Main changes
· References to qualifications were removed to allow the use of standards in other programmes.
· Guidance information was updated to reflect the new name of the professional body and align definitions with version 2 of the qualification.
· The title of unit standard 27473 was changed to align with the revised graduate profile outcome of version 2 of the qualification.
· Unit standard 11405 was designated expiring without replacement as it is listed in the National Diploma in Surveying (Level 6) [Ref: 0453] which is expiring in December 2020 but is not included in any Connexis programmes.
The Category D unit standard will expire at the end of December 2021
