Summary
As a result of the review of the New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Production Management (Level 5) with strands in Livestock Production, and Crop Production [Ref: 2211], Primary ITO has reviewed these unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the outcomes listed in the new qualification.
Consultation was carried out in June 2019 where providers with consent to assess had the opportunity to give feedback via an online survey. This feedback was addressed where appropriate.
Main changes
· Five unit standards were reviewed to reflect current industry requirements.
· The titles of the unit standards were updated to align with the outcomes.
· The credit value of unit standard 19118 was increased. The increase in credit value takes into consideration the complexity of daily feed allowances for different ruminant feeding systems.
