Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The review of seven Wool qualifications from Level 2 to 5 commenced in February 2019. Expressions of interest were sought in February 2019 from Industry stakeholders who had an interest in the sector that represented wool harvesting. An External Working Group (EWG) was formed to review the qualifications. EWG members had the responsibility of contributing their expertise to qualification updates as well as liaising with their networks on findings over the duration of the review. Agreement of qualification content was reached; stakeholder attestation was affirmed, and the final drafts were sent out via survey for wider stakeholder consultation in August 2019. The qualification was updated from feedback with the wider stakeholder consultation process. The EWG signed off on the final versions in August 2019. |

Main changes resulting from the review |
|
· All existing qualifications were replaced by three new qualifications (see below), this was primarily to allow for a reduction in credit value and to realign content to better reflect the skills required for shearing. |
