Summary
As a result of the review of the New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2) with optional strand in Self-Management and Employability Skills [Ref: 2218], Primary ITO has reviewed these unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the outcomes listed in the qualification.
Consultation was held in late September 2018 where providers with consent to assess had the opportunity to give feedback via an online survey. This feedback was addressed where appropriate.
Main changes
· Three existing unit standards were reviewed to reflect current legislation, industry practices and NZQA guidelines;
· Unit standard 29492 increased in credit value to better reflect the time taken to meet the requirements of the standard;
· Four new standards were developed to meet the requirements of the New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2) with optional strand in Self-Management and Employability Skills [Ref: 2218].
