Summary of review and consultation process
These qualifications were reviewed to assign a last date of entry and assessment, and to
include a unit standard exemption.
Main changes resulting from the review
BCITO has changed the status of the qualifications to reviewed, with the intention of replacing these with New Zealand Certificates before 2020.
Trainees with credit for unit standard
24378 will be exempt from unit standard 26627. Unit standard 24378 is
considered more relevant for learners to achieve in the context of the building
sector and the level reflects the complexity of the calculation undertaken by
learners.

The last date for entry into programmes leading to the qualifications is 31 December 2019. The last date for assessment is 31 December 2020, when the qualifications will be discontinued.
