Revision and Rollover of Pacific Studies unit standards

NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) has completed the revision and rollover of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

The unit standards were due for a review as part of the NQS regular review cycle; however, due to a proposed wider review of assessment standards that relate to Pacific languages and cultures, a full review has not been undertaken at this time.

The wider review is supposed to take place in 2021; therefore, the planned review date for these unit standards has been set accordingly.

The unit standards have been revised and rolled over until such time.  Key stakeholders were consulted via email and they supported the revision and rollover of the unit standards.

Main changes

· All unit standards were amended to reflect the new template, where Explanatory notes are renamed Guidance information, and Evidence requirements become Performance criteria.

· All standards were transferred to Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR) 0226 (previously 0119) to align with the designated status of Base Scope Accreditation for Schools (BSAS) to Level 3 for the three domains.

· All standards had their planned review dates extended to 31 December 2021.
