Summary
The purpose of this revision and rollover is to keep the unit standards current and fit for purpose. Guidance information, outcomes and performance criteria were updated to reflect current legislation and industry practice.
Revisions were undertaken to address feedback from industry technical advisers and subject matter experts from the Telecommunications industry reference group.
Main changes
· Current legislation, definitions and pre-requisite information were updated in the Guidance Information section.
· Titles of unit standards 30522 and 30525 were amended to align with outcome statements.
· The planned review date was set to December 2022 to align with the review date for the New Zealand Certificate in Telecommunications (Level 3) with strands in Copper Network Maintenance, Optical Fibre Network, and Transmission [Ref: 3767].
