Feedback from industry identified issues with the current qualification. As a result of this feedback MITO commenced an early qualification review. Some of the skills and knowledge described in outcomes of this qualification did not accurately reflect industry requirements, relevant indicative credit values and overall qualification credits. The prerequisite qualification placed unnecessary restrictions on the learner’s ability to progress into and through this qualification and complete. The changes made now ensure the qualification accurately reflects the time it takes to progress through to a graduate in the diesel fuel technology field. |

Version 2 of this qualification includes the following changes: • The New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 3) [Ref: 3097] was removed as a pre-requisite • General conditions for programmes were amended • Indicative credits for graduate profile outcomes were amended · The total credit value for the qualification increased from 130 to 180 credits |
