|
Feedback from the peer support work sector and providers indicates that the qualification is fit for purpose and meets the needs of trainees working in peer support work, and employers. The sector confirms that no substantial changes to the qualification is required. |

Main changes resulting from the review |
|
The qualification was updated to align to the current listing requirements.
Minor changes to the strategic purpose, other requirements of the qualification, general conditions for programmes, all Graduate Profile Outcomes (GPO) wording. These changes were to align with the different sectors who have a peer support workforce, reflect strength-based language, address the importance of the skills and cultural competencies to identify with Māori, and emphasise the importance of self-care.
Credit values of GPOs 2 and 3 were modified to accurately reflect the time taken to learn, practice, and be assessed for the skills aligned to the GPOs. The overall qualification credit value remains unchanged at 120 credits.
