Competenz has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

Competenz has reviewed these units as part of the scheduled five yearly review.

 

All Stakeholders were advised of this review via email, Sector Advisory Group meetings, and Competenz Training Advisors.  This review was conducted through face-to-face meetings with a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) consisting of industry experts, stakeholders and those holding the consent to assess. 

 

Main changes

 

·      Minor changes were made to update terms and definitions and to align unit standards with current industry practices and terminology.

·      Performance criteria statements containing safety and risk management content were updated to clearly specify requirements for assessment.

·      Prerequisites of unit standard 6944 were updated to correct titles.

·      Outcome statements of unit standard 24584 and 30587 were updated to align with current industry practices.

·      Unit standard 6943 was designated ‘expiring’ with no replacement as it covers the use of obsolete equipment and the standard is no longer required.

·      Unit standard 6935 had the title wording changed to align with other unit standards i.e. ‘forestry situation’ was changed to ‘forestry operation’.

·      Unit standards 6935, 6944, 6945 and 24584 had their titles amended to more accurately reflect their content.

 

Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2022
