Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The review group included members of the Manaaki Marae Whakaruruhau, representatives from Skills Active ITO, UCOL (polytechnic), and Ara Poutama Aotearoa. Wider consultation was sought via the NZQA website for feedback from the industry, whānau, hapū, iwi, and other interested parties for a period of four weeks. The link to the consultation page and attestation forms were sent (via email) to providers who participated at the consistency event earlier this year. |

Main changes resulting from the review |
|
Changes to the qualification suite: - Guiding Kaupapa were amended to clarify intent and ease of comprehension. - Qualification specifications and General conditions for programme leading to qualification sections (of all four qualifications) were amended to reflect current practice, update internet links, and clarify intent. Changes to the levels 3-5 qualifications: - graduate profile outcome statements amended to clarify the wording and for ease of comprehension. - Employment/ Cultural/ Community pathways information was revised for clarity. Changes to the level 2 qualification. - level 1 Te Pōkaitahi Reo qualification was added to the Education pathway - The Replacement information (under Transition information) was removed, as it is no longer applicable. The replaced national certificate expired 31 December 2019.
Changes to the level 5 qualification. - Legislation and regulations updated in the Conditions relating to the Graduate profile section. |
