Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The review of the qualifications listed above was held during 2019, consisting of preparatory stage when information was gathered, followed by consultation events, email engagement which included a formal consultation period. The consultation Stakeholder group consisted of employers, industry experts, and association representatives. This stakeholder group confirmed that overall, each qualification was working well and providing the outcomes industry was seeking. The feedback and recommendations from the various consultation events were analysed and incorporated into the qualifications where appropriate. Reviewed qualification documents were circulated to the stakeholder group for final comment and attestation. |

Main changes resulting from the review |
|
The qualifications were reviewed to ensure they remained fit for purpose. This included the strategic purpose statement, graduate profile outcome statements, indicative credit sizing where required and qualification award amended to ensure clarity and meet current requirements for listing. Evidence requirements for assuring consistency amended to align with industry requirements. Specific changes additional to the above: · New Zealand Certificate in Direct Mail Production (Level 3) with strands in Film Wrapping, Ink Jet Printing, Inserting, and Laser Printing [Ref: 3197] The credits for this qualification were reduced from 54 to 50. The wording for the SPS and GPO 7 was amended · New Zealand Certificate in Direct Mail Production (Level 4) [Ref: 3197] The wording for the SPS and GPO 2 wording was amended General Condition added · New Zealand Diploma in Print Industry Management (Level 5) [Ref: 3200] The credits for this qualification were increased from 120 to 150. The Education Pathway was updated Changes to individual outcomes were made to clarify the intention, which has resulted in an increase of the number of outcomes. |
