NZQA Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) has completed the reclassification and review of the unit standard listed above.

Summary

 

As a result of a planned standards review cycle, MQS and the Māori Governance Whakaruruhau reviewed the Governance of Māori Authorities unit standards to ensure they remain fit for purpose and align with the graduate profile outcomes in the newly reviewed Māori Governance suite of qualifications.s

 

During the review, it was decided that unit standard 16068 may be more relevant in another domain.  MQS has decided to move unit standard 16068 from the Māori Governance domain to the Te Whakamau Whenua domain.

 

Main changes

 

The main changes that were made to the standard include the following:

·      Unit 16068 was reclassified.

·      Unit 16068 was placed on the latest unit standard template.

·                                            Resource support list in the guidance information was updated to maintain currency within the sector.

 

The last date for assessment of the superseded version of this Category B unit standard is December 2021
