Summary
This review was undertaken as part of the planned cycle of review of NQS unit standards.
A review panel comprising representatives from secondary schools, Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu o Te Kura - The Correspondence School, Victoria University and YMCANZ-PTE was convened to review five Level 2 unit standards.
National consultation on the draft standards was conducted throughout August 2020 via the consultation section of the NZQA website. Education organisations who had reported results against these standards were contacted directly via email and invited to provide feedback on the reviewed standards.
Main changes
· Relevant legislation, references, terminology and guidance information were updated across the standards to ensure they are current.
· Range items were amended across the set to ensure they are current.
· The titles for unit standards 8551, 8552 and 8555 were amended.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2023
