Summary

Competenz developed three new unit standards in consultation with manufacturing industry representatives and experts.

These unit standards were designed for the manufacturing industry to support the New Zealand Certificate in Manufacturing (Level 2) [Ref: 2729], and the New Zealand Certificate in Manufacturing (Level 3) with optional strand in productivity improvement [Ref: 2730].

Standard 32317 was also developed to support a new micro-credential that had been requested by the manufacturing industry.

These unit standards were approved and endorsed by manufacturing experts and representatives during October 2020, to ensure they were fit for purpose for the manufacturing industry.
