Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The consultation process started in April 2020 with an invitation to stakeholders to participate in the review of qualifications. This is a very small sector with only three major players. Currently Transdev Auckland is the only user of the two rail qualifications, but there is interest from Kiwirail to use them in the future. The other stakeholder, Transdev Wellington, is not interested in these qualifications at this stage. Due to the Covid 19 lockdown restrictions the consultation process took place over two electronic meetings – one with Kiwirail, and one with Transdev Auckland and the Rail and Maritime union. Both meetings concluded that few changes were needed to the qualifications other than the outcome conditions being removed. |
