Competenz has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published June 2020
Planned review date December 2024
Summary
The review was conducted in conjunction with the review of the qualifications for this sector, and the development of programmes later this year, leading to the:
Competenz took over the responsibility for these unit standards from the Forest Industry Training and Education Council in 2013 as part of the industry training organisation mergers.
All stockholders in the sector have been either consulted or communicated with.
All feedback received prior to and during the review process was incorporated and endorsed for registration by the Technical Advisory Group in March 2020.
Main changes

· Guidance Information, Outcomes, and Performance criteria were updated to reflect current industry practices in wood manufacturing industry sector.
· One new unit standard was developed to meet the specific needs of the finger jointing sector.
· Titles of unit standards 4544 and 20772 were amended to align with the outcomes.
Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2020 and December 2022
