Summary

 

The review was conducted in conjunction with the review of the qualifications for this sector, and the development of programmes later this year, leading to the:

 

 

Competenz took over the responsibility for these unit standards from the Forest Industry Training and Education Council in 2013 as part of the industry training organisation mergers.

 

All feedback received prior to and during the review process was incorporated and endorsed for registration by the Technical Advisory Group in January 2020.

 

Main changes

 

·         Unit standards 20773 and 20774 were set to expire without replacement as they are no longer required.

·         Guidance Information, Outcomes and Performance criteria were updated to reflect current industry practices in wood manufacturing industry sector.

·         Credits for unit standards 15774 and 20767 were changed to reflect the time required to acquire the required skills and knowledge.

·         Titles of some unit standards were amended to align with the outcomes.

·         The last date for assessment was set for superseded versions of some Category B unit standards (except the most recent) to December 2020.

 

Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2020
