MITO New Zealand Incorporated has completed the reinstatement of the unit standards listed above.  The unit standard in italics is an Australian coversheet.

In March 2020, these unit standards were designated expiring without replacement as a result of low usage.  However, industry has subsequently confirmed ongoing need for the standards which are included in a programme of industry training leading to the New Zealand Certificate in Mining and Quarrying (First-line Supervision) (Level 4) with strands in Surface, and Underground [Ref: 2783].


The content of the standards has been confirmed as fit for purpose and a planned review date of 2022 has been specified.

·      Unit standards 24473, 28792, 28796 and 28982 were reinstated.


Impact on Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR)


The standards were moved from CMR 0114 to CMR 0014.
