Republication of Planning and Construction qualifications

 

·        National Certificate in Flooring (Level 4) with strands in Carpet Installation, Fine Sand and Finishes, Flooring Planning and Design, Resilient Flooring Installation, Substrate Preparation, Timber Overlay Installation, and Resin Flooring Application [Ref: 0756]

·        National Certificate in Frame and Truss Manufacture (Level 3) [Ref: 1619]

·        National Certificate in Concrete Construction (Level 4) [Ref: 1634]

·        National Certificate in Concrete Construction (Placing and Finishing) (Level 3) [Ref: 1633]

·        National Certificate in Concrete Production (Level 3) [Ref: 0731]

·        National Certificate in Concrete Product Manufacture (Masonry Product) (Level 3) [Ref: 1530]

·        National Certificate in Concrete Product Manufacture (Pipe) (Level 3) [Ref: 1656]

·        National Certificate in Concrete Construction (Sawing and Drilling) (Level 3) [Ref: 1613]

·        National Certificate in Precast Concrete (Level 3) with stands in Structural Precast, Prestressing, Precast Tank and Traditional Tank [Ref: 1635]

 

The Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation (BCITO) has republished the qualifications listed above.

Summary

 

These qualifications were reviewed in 2020 and replaced by the following qualifications:

 

 

The National Certificate in Frame and Truss Manufacture (Level 3) [Ref: 1619] was reviewed and will be discontinued. A replacement qualification is currently in development. 

 

The last date of entry to the replaced qualifications has been extended from 31 December 2020 to 30 June 2021.  This will allow tertiary education providers sufficient time to implement approved programmes leading the replacement qualifications

 

 

Transition

 

The last date for entry into programmes leading to the replaced National qualifications is 30 June 2021.  

 

Any new enrolments that are unable to complete the qualification within the allotted timeframe will be transitioned into the appropriate replacement New Zealand qualification.

 

People currently working towards the replaced qualifications may either complete the requirements for those qualifications by 31 December 2021 or transfer to a programme of study or training leading to a replacement New Zealand qualification.
