Summary
Competenz has reviewed these units as part of the scheduled five-yearly review.
This review was conducted in consultation with Sector Advisory Groups and Technical Advisory Groups, consisting of industry experts, stakeholders and those holding the consent to assess.
Any amendments and updates to these units were discussed at meetings that were held in the first quarter of 2020.
Results of these meetings were communicated via email to review participants, offering a further opportunity to provide feedback.
Main changes
· Guidance Information, Outcomes and Performance Criteria were updated to reflect current practices.
· Minor changes to wording were made in some unit standards to improve accuracy and clarity.
· The requirement of pre-start checks was added to unit standards 16238, 25584 and 25591.
· The credit values of unit standards 14493, 25577, 25578, 25585, and 25590 were amended to better reflect the time required to achieve these units.
· Titles of some unit standards were amended to align with updated outcome and performance criteria wording.
· Unit standards 25581, 25582, 25587, 25596, and 25769 were recommended for expiry, with no objections.
· A last date of assessment of December 2023 was designated for earlier versions of unit standards 14349, 14993, 16238, and 20972.
Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2023
