Feedback from stakeholders was gathered through an open consultation process and used to guide the development of the industry training programmes for the qualifications above, and development of the associated unit standards.

Main changes

·         One unit standard was designated expiring without replacement as outcomes were separated and included across new unit standards.

·         Eight standards were designated expiring and replaced as outcomes were clarified and separated across grades and responsibilities realigned to match NZQF levels and industry expectations.

·      14 new standards were developed to meet the needs of industry across all craft types, river grades and role types.

Category C and D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2022
