Date new versions published September 2020
Planned review date December 2025
Summary
As a result of the review of the New Zealand Certificate in Equine Skills (Level 3) with strands in Harness Racing Stable Assistant, Thoroughbred Raceday Strapper, Thoroughbred Stable Assistant, Thoroughbred Racing Track Rider, and Sporthorse Stable Assistant [Ref: 2376], Primary ITO has reviewed unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the updated qualification graduate outcomes.
As a result of industry consultation, amendments were made to ensure unit standard content remained fit for purpose.
Consultation was carried out in April 2020 where consent to assess holders had the opportunity to give comment on the email sent asking for feedback to amendments. This feedback was addressed where appropriate.

· Titles were amended for unit standards 1620, 1626, 1662, 6612, 6617, 19074, 21561 and 25442 to better reflect the outcomes.
· The credit value of unit standards 6613, 25443 and 25979 was increased to better reflect the time required to achieve these units.
· The level of unit standard 27216 was increased to better reflect the knowledge and skill level required to achieve this unit.
