The Primary ITO has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published April 2021
Planned review date December 2025
Summary
As a result of the review of the New Zealand Certificate in Fencing (Level 3) with strands in Rural, and Industrial [Ref: 2699], and New Zealand Certificate in Fencing (Level 5) [Ref: 2700] the Primary ITO has reviewed unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the updated qualification graduate outcomes.
As a result of industry consultation, amendments were made to ensure unit standard content remained fit for purpose.
Consultation was carried out in February 2021 where consent to assess holders had the opportunity to give comment on the email sent asking for feedback to amendments. This feedback was addressed where appropriate.
Main changes
· Unit standards were updated to meet current NZQA unit standard template requirements.
· Guidance information and performance criteria were amended to ensure unit standards’ content remained fit for purpose.
· Titles for some unit standards were updated to better reflect outcomes.
· Seven unit standards were designated expiring without replacement due to low usage.
Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2022
