Summary of review and consultation process

The Industry Consultation Group (ICG) conducted the review of this qualification between February and July 2021. The stakeholders represented on the ICG were radio telecommunications employers and the Radio Frequency Users Association of New Zealand.

Online consultation meetings were held, and the ICG agreed that the core and the strand graduate outcomes were still fit for purpose and met the regulatory Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) standards. One of the strands had an old name and the ICG agreed to update the name.

Conditions and regulatory requirements that were no longer required in the qualification were deleted and moved to an internal programme module information document for developing a programme of study.  A statement has been added to the General Conditions that programmes of study must be in line with EWRB core competencies and requirements.
