Planned review date                                                                              December 2025

Summary

These unit standards were reviewed between October and December 2020 as part of the qualification and programme review for manufacturing qualifications.

This review was completed through face-to-face meetings, video and phone calls, and via email with a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) consisting of manufacturing industry experts, providers, representatives and businesses.

All feedback received prior to and during the review process were incorporated in consultation with the TAG.  These units were endorsed for registration by the TAG in January 2020.

Main changes

·      Guidance Information was updated across all unit standards, including legislation, definitions, references and assessment information.

·      Unit standards 4806 and 4808 were expired without replacement due to no longer being required by industry and low usage.

·      Unit standards 20330 and 20301 were expired and replaced with the new standard 32564, and unit standard 29366 was expired and replaced with the new unit standard 32565.

·      Title of unit standard 4807 was updated to allow for wider coverage of the standard.

·      Titles were updated for some unit standards to better reflect outcomes.

·      Credit values for unit standards 19506, 21329 and 21332 were increased to better reflect the time required to assess the skills and knowledge within these standards.

·      Credit values for unit standards 29368, 29369 and 29370 were reduced to align with changes made to graduate profile outcomes during the qualification review of the New Zealand Certificate in Manufacturing (Level 4) with optional strand in Technical Support [2731].

Category C and D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2023

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2023
