Summary

 

The unit standards listed above were reviewed in discussion with the New Zealand Society of Diversional and Recreational Therapy (‘NZDRT’) during March 2021, with subsequent input and feedback invited from all providers with consent to assess via the Careerforce website [https://www.careerforce.org.nz/diversional-therapy-unit-standards-review/].

 

In the period since unit standard 25770 was registered in 2009, its content has transitioned to being separately used as part of the NZDRT’s professional registration programme.  Following discussion with NZDRT, and noting that there were no assessments against the standard in 2020, Careerforce is designating this standard as expiring with last date of assessment set to 31 December 2023.

 

Main changes

 

·                                                          The title of 23918 was changed to reflect the widening of the original ‘Diversional Therapy’ context to ‘Diversional and Recreational Therapy’.

·                                                          Guidance information and references were updated for unit standard 23918.

·                                                          Minor edits were made to outcome and performance criteria statements of unit standard 23918 to include ‘and recreational’, and some cosmetic changes were made to the order of wording in performance criteria 1.3, 1.4, 2.1, and 2.2 for further clarity.

·                                                          Unit standard 25770 was designated expiring without replacement due to low to no usage. 

 

Category D unit standard 25770 will expire at the end of December 2023

 

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of the Category B unit standard is December 2023
