Summary

Feedback from stakeholders indicated that changes to the unit standard was required due to changes in the industry following the Cullen Enquiry:  The Public Inquiry into the Piper Alpha Disaster.

Main changes

· Title was updated and the term Personal Evacuation System (PES) was changed to Personal Escape System due to changes in the definition of ‘evacuation’ and ‘escape’.

· Plastic wrapping is no longer used on the PES and has been removed from performance criterion 2.2.
